"I" List........

"I"...

I am... strong and know what I want out of life

I'd like to think...that this world of crime & disease will never affect my family & friends (I guess this should say “I wish”!)

I've become... aware that everyone has a "story", therefore I've also become much more tolerant of anyone who might have one that used to irritate me.

I think... about my kids, all the preggo mommies in my life, if Ben will really have to start traveling soon, if the gap in Reid’s teeth will grow together once he gets his adult teeth, why Audrey is such is an easy little girl and when that will change, what color I want to paint my hallway, bathroom and Reid’s room and also the family room even though Ben said NO, where should we hang our wedding picture, when is our CD of wedding pictures going to come so we can print out our pictures... my minds always going...Ben says it is like a pinball machine….Ball in the whole right now is what he would tell me at this moment……..

I know... I have the best family and friends in the world.

I want... my children to grow up to become responsible, educated, "nice" people, with no tragedies.

I have... a dirty closet that I need to clean.

I wish... I would be motivated to exercise.

I hate... black and navy together. A color thing I've always had. Please DON'T wear a black blouse and navy skirt. It makes me shutter.

I miss... Alynda & Abby/Karli & Cade

I fear... sorry, I can't even go there. Too many fears, that I choose to not think about.

I hear... Pandora on my computer playing “I got a feeling” on the country station.

I smell...not much, but I feel the freaking cold AC on in my office

I wonder... why so often the important things get shoved to the back, and the little stuff takes over for me.

I regret...many things but like to think that I have learned from those regrets

I love... my family & friends. Magazines. The color Red. The GAP outlet. Chocolate. Diet Coke. Captain Morgan.

I always... give in to chocolate... how do you turn down chocolate?

I am not...an A type personality

I believe... what comes around goes around.

I don't always... express my gratefulness. I try, but I'm not good at it. I'm trying to be better.

I win... most of my arguments with my husband... at least he lets me think I do.

I lose... track of my keys almost everyday...

I never...miss a reality TV show because I TIVO them all

I listen... to my heart.

I read... in spurts. At this point in my life I am lucky to have time to flip through a magazine.

I... hope you haven't found this too lame, and will consider replying to this “I” list so I can learn more about you!

Pure Joy

One of the main things that drew me to our house close to 2 years ago was the fact that we were so close to a great elementary school and huge park! Just about every night since we have been here Ben has come home from work, jumped into shorts and flip flops and headed out the door with all three monkeys: Reid, Audrey & Brady. I often stay home to fold laundry, catch up on phone calls, prep for the following day and make dinner. But I decided to head to the park with my kids and this is what I found...........PURE JOY! Look at their little faces! So happy, so healthy, so free to just be kids.

It's HOME!

It has returned! In one piece. I never realized how inconvenient it was to actually watch the weather on the news station, or look for new movie listings by actually calling the local movie theatre. Or how much I missed my evening web surfing or online shopping. I am so happy to have our computer back! Thank you to Chris for working long and hard on bringing my best friend back to life....a blogging WITH pictures I will now go :)

Wedding Slideshow

I know I have raved a million times over about how IN LOVE with our wedding photographer, Jennifer Skog, we were for our wedding but yet again she is making us swoon! She just put together a brief wedding slideshow. Enjoy!

Conversations

Reid has moved up to the C6 classroom and loves his new Teacher Nancy! This week they are learning about senses and he was so excited on Monday to bring home his "ear" and on Tuesday he brought home a "tongue" he had made. So here the story goes on the way to Mimi's house after school on Tuesday.

Reid: Mommy, let me see your tongue
Lisa: Wait till we get to the stop light and I will show it to you
(as I stick out my tongue at my son)
Reid: Mommy, YOU have taste buds
(I laugh)
Lisa: And so do you too Reid

After a few seconds of contemplating what I just said....
Reid: No Mommy, only Mommy's have taste buds

Too cute! Little man has no idea how great those little taste buds are!

All Recipes

Here is my secret recipe spot! I have gotten SOOO many great recipes from this website. My FAVORITE part is that they have a calculator at the bottom of each recipe where you can CHANGE your serving size and it automatically calculates how much of each ingredient that you actually need! I know it is simple math but I did truly fail every Math course in high school! It also has a search at the top of each screen where you can sort by ingredients that you already have and it will find recipes that match what you have so you don’t have to go to the grocery store! You can even put in the ingredients that you DON’T want for all you picky eaters!
Enjoy!

What is a girl to do?

It happened and I am miserable! Our computer crashed. I am not so much worried about blogging or checking my emails but I am miserable about the potential lose of our family pictures! Ben swears and swears and swears that those pictures and all our documents will be recovered but I am not going to believe it until I see it! So for now there are posts from work (shhhh) and with no pictures. How boring!
