We did it! We are one of those crazy day after Thanksgiving shoppers! Actually it was only our second year getting up early to shop but I have to admit that I think we are addicted! After saving for a complete year Ben was ready to finally buy a flat screen TV for our family room. My Mom came over at 5am and we snuck at the door while the kids were still sleeping to head down to the closest FRYE'S electronics store. There were an insane amount of people doing early morning shopping but we were able to slide right into a line for TVs that was not near as bad as I had pictured. While I waited in line, Ben headed out to see what deals they still had left. After 45 minutes I got a call on my cell phone from Ben who said I could get out of line because he was standing next to THE television and that the sales guy was about to tag it for us! Ben happened upon 5 62inch screens and stood next to the one he wanted until they tagged it. I guess you could say that we broke the rules a little?!? Luckily nobody complained because it was pretty much chaos around us and we were able to sneak out with a TV for about $1000 less than asking price! Ben's best friend Carmy came up for the weekend and helped us mount the television. Audrey of course offered her assistance in the whole process!
Once it was on the wall I was a little bit frightened by the size. It felt like my family room had just turned into a sports bar! But after a few days I was used to it and happily planning my dream entertainment center with shelves and drawers to surround it! Now we just have to find someone to make the center for us!
